Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra

Where: Quaker Meeting House, Salisbury
When: Monthly Thursday class 6.30-8pm
Cost: £20 per class

This class combines Restorative yoga and Yoga Nidra for deep rest and relaxation.

Restorative yoga is all about relaxing the nervous system, releasing muscular tension, and creating a calmer mind.  It involves lots of props and hands-on adjustments to help each student completely relax into every pose.  Most poses will be lying down or seated and will be held for an extended period of time (usually from 5 to 20 minutes).

Although suitable for everyone, Restorative yoga can be particularly beneficial to those who are injured, suffering from stress, or for those who would like a more gentle yoga practice.

Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation. This deeply nurturing practice has many benefits, including:

  • Relaxation
  • Stress reduction
  • Better sleep
  • Emotional regulation
  • Creativity

We end the class with a warming herbal tea.
